With the election just over a month away, I hope you’ll be able to join us next week for Coffee with the Mayoral Candidates.
As you may remember, leading up to the April primary election, we co-hosted a series of thoughtful, one-on-one conversations with each of the leading candidates for the Democratic nomination for Mayor.
Now we’re joining with the DC Fiscal Policy Institute, DC Vote, and the League of Women Voters of the District of Columbia to give voters another close look at the candidates before the general election.
The event will feature a series of individual conversations with each of the candidates, focusing on the District’s relationship with Congress, regional influences, and their impact on the political and economic health of the District. WAMU’s Martin Austermuhle will moderate. We’ve invited all the candidates, and David Catania and Carol Schwartz have confirmed their attendance.
The conversations will take place on Wednesday, October 1 from 9 am to 10:30 am at the National Association of Realtors, 500 New Jersey Avenue NW. Space is limited, so please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
I hope to see you there.
