DC Appleseed will be hosting its 20th Anniversary gala on Tuesday, September 16th at the Carnegie Institution for Science, 1530 P Street NW. Come join us for a reception with food and drink from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, and then hear a panel of regional leaders discuss the changes in the District over the last 20 years and where the District is headed in the next 20 years. This panel will include Brookings Institution Economist Alice Rivlin, former Mayor Anthony Williams, Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, Washington Post columnist Colby King and moderator Bruce DePuyt of News Channel 8.
We have invited President Clinton to come and be recognized for his critical role in implementing one of DC Appleseed’s first achievements — the federal government’s assumption of the District’s unfunded pension liability in the landmark 1997 Revitalization Act.
