The D.C. mayoral primary election is just five weeks away, and we’re working to make sure voters can learn more about the candidates.
Starting this weekend, DC Appleseed will join other public interest organizations in co-hosting “The UnForum: Honest Conversations with the D.C. Mayoral Candidates.”
This won’t be any ordinary forum, but rather a series of one-on-one conversations with the leading mayoral candidates. The conversations will focus on one of the most pressing issues facing the city–inequality in the District of Columbia. Mark Segraves, reporter at NBC4, host of DC 50’s NewsPlus, and senior correspondent for WNEW Radio, and Marc Fisher, senior editor at The Washington Post, will moderate.
On three separate evenings, two candidates will sit down individually with the moderator for an in-depth, thoughtful discussion as follows:
- March 2: Muriel Bowser | Tommy Wells | Moderator: Mark Segraves
- March 9: Jack Evans | Vincent Orange | Moderator: Marc Fisher
- March 16: Andy Shallal | Vincent Gray | Moderator: Marc Fisher
The conversations will take place from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the UDC David A. Clarke School of Law, Moot Court Room, Building 52, 5th Floor, 4340 Connecticut Avenue NW. Refreshments will be served. If you’d like to join us, please RSVP. I hope to see you there.
